Frank C. McCarthy was born in New York in 1924. But it wasn't until 1968, after learning his craft and forging a successful commercial art career, that he moved to Arizona to begin a brand new life as a fine art painter of the American West. Within a decade, he was being hailed as one of the preeminent artists of the genre--honored with articles, retrospectives, and shows in some of the country's most prestigious magazines, museums and galleries.
